It’s no secret that people are making money on Instagram…like a lot of money. We’ve all taken a nice scroll through our feeds to find countless couples posting pictures lounging at extravagant resorts, buying luxury cars, attending brand parties, and living the life of a celebrity. We see these power couples at all ends of the globe at any given time. With travel prices, children, mortgages, and cost of living in mind, it’s no wonder why we want to know how they afford these extravagant adventures. People want to know, exactly how much are these influencer couples making? If you’ve been dying to know the answer, we are going to break it down for you. Jack Morris, 26, and Lauren Bullen, 24, are an Instagram famous couple who have earned a living solely from social media. They have a combined 3.4 million followers on Instagram alone making them a prime target for brand deals. By posting affiliate links, sponsored posts, and ads, they each make consistent six-figure salaries.

“Exact figures are hard to say because every job is different, but we won’t do a post for less than $3,000,” Morris told Cosmo. “The most I’ve personally got for one post is $9,000 … I did a job for a phone company where I flew out for three days; there were two days filming and then I had to do five photos on Instagram, and that was $35,000.”

While being paid thousands of dollars for one post may seem hard to fathom, Morris and Bullen try to put it in perspective. “Once businesses compare numbers to magazine readership sizes or TV advertisement views and take into consideration our personal influence, they understand more,” he told The Huffington Post. The cost to pay for a film crew to shoot a paid advertisement is much more than paying a couple a few thousand dollars and have them do all the work for you.

According to research by Digiday, this is a loose guide for how much influencers make based on their following.

Per post:

  • 2,000 to 10,000 Instagram followers: $75 to $250 per post

  • 10,000 to 50,000 Instagram followers: $250 to $500 per post

  • 50,000 to 100,000 Instagram followers: $500 to $1,000 per post

Reportedly, of businesses asked:

  • 66% report that they pay under $250 per post,

  • 27% pay between $250 and $1000.

Collette and Scott Stohler also have made a full-time career on Instagram. They travel the world for six months out of the year to create content for brand promotions. With them charging around $2,000 per post, that leaves them to earn around $200,000 per year.

While this may seem like a dream lifestyle, Scott wants to make it clear that, “it doesn’t just happen. You need to hustle.” They have to live a busy lifestyle where they spend most of their travels on computers, writing emails, curating blog posts, and creating one of a kind content for their social media pages. They have to reach out to dozens of brands with a full, personalized pitch deck only to hear back from a few, if any. While their photos may come across as though they live a life of hot tubs and piña coladas, there is much more work than meets the eye. It’s also important to keep in mind that a lot of the money they make is being put back into their business. They have to spend money to travel in order to document it and thus make money from it.

So the answer to exactly how much do influencer couples make, is that it varies. Every couple you see on Instagram is charging differently or earning money in different ways.
